“All authority in haven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." --Jesus
Our expectation is that every person who is part of Ellicott City Church is growing into a fully devoted follower of Jesus. Being a disciple is a lifelong journey that takes time, is usually messy, but is incredibly important. The fact is that being a disciple is a normal expectation for a Christian, not an advanced state of being. The Bible says a lot about who a disciple is, what a disciple does, and how to develop as a disciple.
Discipleship is a journey filled with next steps that we do together. It is a journey that is never too late to start. And in the end, it is disciples who make other disciples who love, know and follow Jesus.
